What is Intrinsic Biomechanics

A biomechanics coach is a professional who specialises in understanding how the body moves and functions. They assess your movement patterns, posture, and muscle activation to identify any dysfunctions or imbalances that could lead to injury or limit performance.

Rather than diagnosing or treating injuries, a biomechanics coach focuses on optimising your movement through targeted exercises, corrective techniques, and lifestyle adjustments.

The goal is to improve your body’s efficiency, prevent injuries, and enhance overall performance by addressing the root causes of any movement issues.

Biomechanics coaches typically work with athletes, fitness enthusiasts, or individuals recovering from injury, helping them move more effectively and safely.

What is the assessment?

Personalised Assessments

Start your journey with a detailed assessment that delves into your body’s intrinsic biomechanics. We’ll examine your range of motion, symmetry, movement patterns, joint mobility, and muscle activation to get a comprehensive understanding of how your body moves and functions.

These assessments are done in numerous positions, to target different joints. For example; lying on a massage table to get leg leg discrepancy , sitting and bending to one side to measure your spinal lateral flexion and assess muscular imbalances, standing up to measure your instep, your propensity to roll in/out on your foot and from all the info we gain we start to create a bigger picture of how we can improve on your imbalances, impingements and muscular tightness.

Targeted Interventions

With a clear picture of your body’s biomechanics, we’ll create a personalised plan to optimise your movement and improve overall well-being. This may include targeted exercises, corrective techniques, and simple lifestyle adjustments. These interventions are designed for you to perform at home, fitting seamlessly into your routine.

Instead, I’ll guide you through the intrinsic biomechanics screening system, identifying any dysfunctions and offering simple, effective exercises to improve movement and enhance the functioning of your musculoskeletal system. With this approach, you’ll be able to follow the techniques on your own, empowering you to take control and avoid relying on costly treatments.
